November 14, 20241 yr Fright from EGNS to EIDW. Landing RW 28R. ILS tuned correctly, APP armed etc. However, autopilot not holding the Glideslope. Got very low and had to disconnect autopilot and continue manually. Any ideas?
November 14, 20241 yr Oh! I think I had this too, maybe a couple of times, though I haven't systematically verified. The way it feels to me is that the APP mode arms, but the disembodied FO voice doesn't annunciate that the LOC or GS are armed/captured unless I press the button a second time. I wonder if there's a range beyond which the APP can't actually be armed, but falsely says that it is?
November 14, 20241 yr Did three flights now and all three captured witout problems LOC and GLIDE, but could be the ore some Airports that causing issues.. cheers 😉 08.2024 new PC is online : ASUS ROG STRIX X670E-F GAMING WIFI Mainboard, AMD Ryzen™ 9 7950X3D Prozessor, G.Skill DIMM 64 GB DDR5-6000 (2x 32 GB) Dual-Kit, MSI GeForce RTX 4090 VENTUS 3X E 24G OC Grafikkarte, 2x WD Black SN850X NVMe SSD 4 TB - Drive C+D, WD Gold Enterprise Class 12 TB for storage HDD, Thermaltake Toughpower GF3 1000W PC - Power supply, Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 EVO CPU Aircooler with 7 Heatpipes, Design Meshify 2 White TG Clear Tint Tower-Case, 3x 4K monitors 2x32 Samsung 1x27 LG 3840x2160, Windows11 Prof. 23H2 - now Windows11 Prof. 25H2 Flightsimulator Hardware: Honeycomb Throttle Bravo, Logitech Extreme 3D Pro, Logitech Flight Joke System, XBox Controller, some Thrustmaster stuff, Winwing CDU Panels.

If the autopilot messes up, it must be deactivated and you continue to fly manually or abort the approach. It's the same in real life. Every airplane has quirks.
