Is it true that the game data forces install to C: drive?

Featured Replies

I'm in the same boat, C drive quite full...not wanting to delete all my msfs2020 stuff yet. Would be so helpful to designate space for install on another drive. And do I change that in game or via steam?

I installed on a M.2 separate from C drive.  The "Packages" files installed on the C drive are symbolic links to the M.2 I installed MSFS2024 onto so they will not take up any space on the C drive.

Guys where is the community folder for 2024? Purchased from MS Store, and installed onto C drive.

For the MSStore version, I found that now the main MSFS24 folder is: C:\Users\xxxx\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe

What disturbs me is that at the inside that folder is this "Official2020" folder which shouldnt be there:  C:\Users\Jorge\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\Official2020
