How to change payload from within the sim

Featured Replies

So there you are doing the walk around or sitting in the cockpit and you wonder: how do I change the payload...? There is no entry for that in the top dropdown menu like there was in MSFS202! Here is how.

Open the EFB (press Tab by default).

Click on the Aircraft icon at the bottom.

Click on Flight performances.

Click on the cog wheel in the Mass and balance section.

Here you can set Seats, Cargo, Fuel and Empty (cg).

For seats: click on one of the available dots (representing available seats) and enter the weight of the person. Make sure to note what's the pilot seat because you are not facing north!

When done click on LOAD IN AIRCRAFT.

That's it.

The Seats options seems to be a bit buggy because sometimes when I load the seats become empty again. The fuel etc. works like a charm though. You can see the change in weight have an effect when you sit in the cockpit.

This is because it depends on aircraft variant.

For example, in the 172 cargo version there is only one seat. Try to fill it with a passenger and it reverts to 0.

I tried to fill my own seat (so pilot) and it reset to zero too...

OK, I didn’t see that happening. I’m not at my computer will check it again later.

Ah, I was looking for these explanations. Thanks a lot !
