Helicopter Cold and Dark

Featured Replies

Hi, is there a way to load your helicopter on a helipad cold and dark? Don't know why this has been an issue with Asobo

Of course. If you do not load your heli on the "runway", just at a parking spot, it is cold and dark.

Unfortunately, the Helipads itself always load running.

Workaround would be (if there's enough space around the helipad) to click onto the map, next to the pad and choose that point as departure.
In the menu above you could set it up running or cold and dark or airborne.

So, you can now takeoff from every point on earth finally from the ground.

No.

And frustratingly this was raised with Seb quite some time ago and his response was that he never thought about it (and seemed surprised that it didn't load cold-and-dark), but seemed to indicate that it would be addressed in the future. For MSFS 2064.

... and while we are helicopters. Why on earth would longitudinal trim work on the R66 but not the H125? Who tests this stuff before release? There is virtually zero consistency between aircraft/helicopters. (Why the fogged up windshield on the SR22? Why the severely marked windshield on the B407? I can carry on and on ... )
