December 2, 20241 yr I am pretty shocked at the state of this release, saving to disk a flight that is in progress should be one of the first functions they implemented and tested. It is not even obvious if it is possible to do it as it seems to just mention saving *.PLN files which are pre flight plans not in flight saves. I have been tinkering around with this, at this stage it would seem they have partially implemented the in flight save, but the best I can get so far is to save an in flight file as a *.flt and then load that back in. I think it is loading my plane back in at the right x,y coords, but it loads in as a stationary plane, that then drops out of the sky and crashes before I can do anything. Anyone had any more success with this ?

It's like watching a petulant child at this point. December 2, 20241 yr Author its kind of interesting as it seems there is a half baked version of this already in the code. Even though the file filters only refer to *.pln files, if you force the save filename to be *.flt it changes the file dump size form 1k ish to 20k ish and saves tons of assorted params. Sadly none of which prevent it from dropping out of the sky when loaded back in. Might not be a million miles away from working.
