CareNOdo and Asobo/Microsoft

Featured Replies

I wonder how Carenodo ingratiated themselves with Asobo. Both their planes for MSFS 2024 are riddled with bugs and weirdness - sounds not triggering, etc. The PC-24 is completely unuseable.

I bought the Premium Deluxe version explicitly for the PC-24 but overlooked the fact that it was made by Carenodo. Well, as they say, a fool and his money are soon parted, so that's on me.

Are fixes dependent on Carenodo providing them? Their track record on patches is patchy at best.....

There will be an update for the sim this week, most likely on December 10 or 12, which will include a fix for the PC24. According to Jörg, it has now passed internal quality assurance, but keep in mind that the initial release of the Aeroplane Heaven B707 also passed their test, so make of that what you will.

There's something going on with Microsoft/Asobo and the transfer of all these models into the 2024 release as far as I can tell.

There's a post over on the official forums showing a reply from Carenado about the state of the PC24. Carenado state that they delivered a working aircraft to Microsoft and are in touch with them about what's happening.

All the Carenado aircraft I bought from the 2020 market place have been transferred into 2024 after undergoing Asobo's conversion process yet they all now have the previous,  useless Garmin AS530 units that don't work.

The FF planes that Carenado made have this problem too. Here's the V35;

PMDG have stated that the dev version of 2024 that they received prior to launch is not the same as the version that was the public release. I think something has gone belly up in this process which is why all these planes have so many problems. I can't see this being on Carenado myself.

What makes me anxious is do Jorge and Asobo actually understand this?

I think this is all another symptom of how rushed out the door to meet a deadline the 2024 launch was and is. A great pity.
