Flight Plan in C172 G1000

Featured Replies

I am pretty new to all this so I don't know if I am doing something wrong or whether I am seeing a bug. I am using the new Microsoft Flight Planner website to do the plan. Save it.

Then I have tried loading the plan into the EFB from the World menu screen, as well as from within the C172 EFB.

First problem: Regardless of which location I load the plan from, sometimes it really gets loaded and sometimes it seems that nothing really loaded. The FPL button would yield no info and there would be no plan mapped on the screen.

And before you ask, yes, I clicked both Add to ATC and Add to avionics.

Second problem: this occurs when I actually see a proper flight plan. I have it set to GPS. I activate the autopilot and hit the NAV button ..................... but the plane does pick up the plan the navigate according to it.

Can anyone shed any light for me as to whether these flightplan/autopilot issues are MSFS2024 bugs and whether the process I am following is wrong in some way?

Thanks all....

Not able to try this at the moment, but I think you might need to wait a few seconds after clicking on the add to avionics / ATC buttons for it to go through.

I've noticed immediately after you click them they grey out, and then a few seconds later go back to normal. I'm guessing plans might not go through if you close the EFB immediately after clicking on the buttons.

Or, it could just be another one of the many bugs...

I do wait until each one completes. Sometimes it all works but a lot of times it doesn’t seem to. Need more help but thanks for that suggestion.

Go to the Working Title Discord.  They developed the EFB (and a ton of other critical tools for MSFS).
