December 14, 20241 yr I just used sim rate and noticed the clock doesn't speed up too. The problem here is that in 2020 I used the clock to check when I got back to sim rate 1x (when a second lasted a second again). Can't do that any more... Is there a way to see what sim rate you are currently using?
December 14, 20241 yr I'm not aware of a builtin way to reset the sim rate, but there's an excellent freeware addon that both displays the current sim rate and allows you to reset it to 1x. It's now also compatible with MSFS 2024 (though I've personally only used it in MSFS 2020): https://flightsim.to/file/45543/sim-rate-selector BTW, it also bugs me that in 2024, the clock no longer speeds up with sim rate. Among other things, this means that time checks at waypoints no longer make sense...
December 14, 20241 yr If you start the timer in the EFB, it will run according to the current sim rate, so you can guess it by looking at that. It's the only "clock" to my knowledge that's affected by simrate Edited December 14, 20241 yr by Muds

At sim rate 4x the seconds keep in ticking unaffected... I will have a look at the utility Martin mentioned. Edited December 14, 20241 yr by mistolip
December 14, 20241 yr Spam your "decrease simrate" button, then 4 klicks on "increase simrate" and you are at simrate 1.
