Any airports for Pacific Northwest (USA) XP12?
Are you also using XP12 ORBX products aside the XP11 ones? I've read, can't remember where, that XP11 and XP12 ORBX libraries were troublemakers when both were installed at the same time, leading to perfs issues etc ... but i don't know if that's true or the guy sim was just a mess and unrelated to ORBX. Asking because i'd like to pick up some US TE. Thx

XP 12 and FPS lock, Vsync, etc
😂 not at all, just an enjoyer

XP 12 and FPS lock, Vsync, etc
ah, yea on steam, then u may try to create a shortcut of the exe, and then add the option there to the target, else there is a thing on steam where u can set launch option by right clicking a game, you could try there also

XP 12 and FPS lock, Vsync, etc
you can simply add --lock_fr=30 to your xp shortcut target. "X:\X-Plane 12\X-Plane.exe" --lock_fr=30

caravan taxing ( fs2020 default caravan )
on C208s, your rudders allow you to steer 15° left/right, for more you need diff breaking.

How to reset sim rate?
If you start the timer in the EFB, it will run according to the current sim rate, so you can guess it by looking at that. It's the only "clock" to my knowledge that's affected by simrate

A Simple Sim Test That Reveals a Great Deal.
That's what made me dump 2020.... so many things were screaming wrong in my brain and that was the worst one .... like turning your wheel right while you car go left .... I've tried so hard to explain that thing on the zendesk... gave up at some point. From my test in 24, it's much better, from the planes i've tested none had this behavior, huge win already, but you can still take your word not allowed time to work the flare out, you won't drift downwind ..... so no need to put that wing into wind. Also still find the tire grip too strong, like if you land with still a bit of crab, u won't have that small drift as you're still light on the wheels. Same with takeoff, reaching VR in strong Xwinds on contaminated runway you're flying perfectly straight, when i would expect a bit of slip while being so close to liftof. I thought they added parameters for friction and such, we'll have to wait for some devs to maybe dial in something better. i think it'll be possible to achieve something nicer with devs that understand properly how planes are flying.

Flight Model Comparison 2024 vs 2020 - Unexpected Results?
we can put all the numbers and whatever, in my opinion there is something weird in MSFS both 20 and 24 for the limited time testing, about how to plane respond to inputs. That's the main thing that steers me away from MSFS, because flying planes every 2 days, when firing up something in MSFS it just screams wrong in my brain, when i'm doing whatever inputs the reaction is not what my brain is expecting, something like you would drive your car and when turning the wheel left, you go right .... quite extreme example, but to illustrate the feeling. And we've not even started with how turbulences affect the plane... https://tenor.com/fr/view/mickey-mouse-toy-cute-bobblehead-gif-17414052 You can dial in a very good FM that match real world numbers, stuff like pitch/power, climb rates, cruise etc etc, ppl have been able to do this properly since a long time ago, even on older sim(with look up tables and such etc etc ....), not that part of FM i'm referring. I'm still going to wait for release, maybe 3rd parties will be able to work some magic. The good thing is that ground handling is miles better than 20, and that's a big win! But i still think there is something wrong at core....

it's insane how the A2A video is showing so well the issue we're trying to point out

Flight Model 2020 vs. 2024 - Takeoff, Crosswinds, Stalls
Ground handling is much much better, considering how bad it was in 2020, i guess it was hard to make it worse, but in flight it's still heh with these planes. Alec here is explaining very well Also, no offense, but these stall demos were not really good, it was more like spin demo than stall, not coordinated at all. Cessnsa are quite gentle in the stall if you properly manage the rudder. Also do not use ailerons but rudder.

100% agree with your feelings, and you really really well explained the thing, something i've had hard time explaining to ppl that never flew an airplane.
