December 17, 20241 yr A few days ago, when pressing B (which I set to Set Altimeter), the current QNH was set. Now it always defaults to 0948. Am I using the correct function - and it's bugged - or is there another function I'm looking for to set the altimeter to the local pressure? You didn't mention with which sim you are having this problem, but regardless, when using the Set Altimeter binding real weather has to be on in order to get the local setting value. On the other hand, if real weather is not on, you should get the standard altimeter value which of course is not 0948. Have you tried to see what happens if you move the plane to a significantly different location in terms of distance? Al Edited December 17, 20241 yr by ark
December 17, 20241 yr If real weather is not on, you should get 1013 when you press B. Where is the aircraft located? It’s possible the real weather pressure really is 948 If you are using MSFS 2024, the baro sync key is the comma, not B - unless you are using the optional 2020 keyboard layout. December 17, 20241 yr Author Sorry for not making it clear. I was speaking about msfs24. As I explained, I have the Set Altimeter function there set to B (and unbound the other functions that were set to B). Everywhere is Qnh 948, and it's obviously not right because its sunny weather and it makes my altimeter show a thousand feet under ground... This happens in Career mode and in Freeflight. Yeah, I figured it out as well when I searched for anything bound to comma, and a duplicate Set Altimeter showed up 😄 Thanks!
