January 4, 20251 yr Hello, I have couple of issues with GSX in MSFS 2024. But, I am not sure if this is due to MSFS 2024 or is something else amiss. 1) Mostly I can't use the application shortcut (ctrl+shift+f12 by default). I have to activate it in the drop down menu, so that it is white (I guess that is normal behaviour), but little later, even if the icon is white with the dot, using the shortcut doesn't pop up GSX. I have to then really deactivate it (not white) and activate again, and then I can again use the shortcut to show GSX, but only for a while. And so the circle goes. This is in Fenix, if it matters. 2) I have no VGDS, at least no guidance. I see the VGDS object in the sim, I can edit, change and adjust it, and it does show me some info. But I am yet to experience guidance, none of the last 5 flights had it. Is it at all dependable on flightplan or such? Or should it work just by moving aircraft about, like slewing or taxiing, without any flightplan loaded? 3) I've seen on the videos sometimes a white font pop up when using VGDS, what is that? Is it GSX at all or something else? Would appreciate some guidance. Edited January 4, 20251 yr by Simon_C

Would appreciate some guidance. 1) After landing you might have to click the icon in the toolbar to "restart" it, but apart from that it should always be active and the shortcut works for me (changed to F1). Maybe try another shortcut command in the settings? 2) VDGS - if you mean the one added via GSX with an airport profile - will be active when you start at the gate (showing gate number and TOBT) and will be active after landing, once you selected a parking spot in the GSX menu. it will then guide you in. And yes, you need a simbrief flightplan for VDGS to work. 3) This sounds like the horrible Aerosoft VDGS where you had to manually enter all the data in a popup. That's got nothing to do with GSX VDGS though. For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.
January 4, 20251 yr There is, I think, a GSX option that deactivates it once in the cruise, so you have to re-activate it before you can use the shortcut. Rob Jones.
January 4, 20251 yr Author Thanks. I will keep this in mind on my next flight, will see how it works.

I’m pretty sure GSX automatically reactivates when you pass below 10,000ft, the white data is the distance readout when approaching a gate, which can be turned off in the gsx menu.
January 4, 20251 yr Author And while I thought everything was good until now... I don't see any passengers, although they did board! Fenix A319... Always some bug. Edited January 4, 20251 yr by Simon_C

It was indeed a bug, as right now, I did a new flight, without changing a single thing, and passengers were visible again.

Yes however after some updates you are required to check and uncheck the boxes for seated passengers to show. Just an FYI. Edited January 5, 20251 yr by rick celik

I had to do this after the last update to get my seated passenger numbers to align with simbrief again. Thought something was broken but followed your advice and the next flight worked as expected. January 5, 20251 yr Author I'll ask one thing though, as you guys use GSX: when I installed GSX fresh, I definitely had entries in the lower part of the config (FSDT Installer), under "GSX Airport Services". However, I noticed at some point that the list was empty. Then I reinstalled GSX again, the list was yet again full (left side). And now checked again, list is completely empty again. For you too?
