February 6, 20251 yr I used DLSS Swapper to manually install the latest dll files, and also went into the NVIDIA app, under MSFS 2020 to set the DLSS Model Presets to use the Latest version. Now whenever I launch the game I get this error. Please help DLSS Swapper Edited February 6, 20251 yr by captain420 ASUS ROG Maximus Hero XII ▪︎ Intel i9-10900K ▪︎ NVIDIA RTX 3090 FE ▪︎ 64GB Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro ▪︎ Windows 10 Pro (21H1) ▪︎ Samsung 970 EVO Pro 1TB NVME SSD (OS Drive) ▪︎ Samsung 860 EVO 2TB SATA SSD ▪︎ Seagate 4TB SATA HDD ▪︎ Corsair RMx 850W PSU

February 6, 20251 yr Author I am using DX12. ASUS ROG Maximus Hero XII ▪︎ Intel i9-10900K ▪︎ NVIDIA RTX 3090 FE ▪︎ 64GB Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro ▪︎ Windows 10 Pro (21H1) ▪︎ Samsung 970 EVO Pro 1TB NVME SSD (OS Drive) ▪︎ Samsung 860 EVO 2TB SATA SSD ▪︎ Seagate 4TB SATA HDD ▪︎ Corsair RMx 850W PSU
February 6, 20251 yr Author I think it has to do something with the amd_ags_x64 dll files. I updated those to the latest version in order to get AMD FSR 3.1. The filename was AMD FSR 3.1 DLL Update-1099-3-1-3-1734022083.zip ASUS ROG Maximus Hero XII ▪︎ Intel i9-10900K ▪︎ NVIDIA RTX 3090 FE ▪︎ 64GB Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro ▪︎ Windows 10 Pro (21H1) ▪︎ Samsung 970 EVO Pro 1TB NVME SSD (OS Drive) ▪︎ Samsung 860 EVO 2TB SATA SSD ▪︎ Seagate 4TB SATA HDD ▪︎ Corsair RMx 850W PSU
February 6, 20251 yr MSFS is trying to call a function named agsInit which I presume (based on the ags prefix) it is expecting to find in the amd_ags_x64.dll So either that DLL is missing (have you checked that DLL is in the MSFS application folder?), or, that function has been renamed or removed in the later version of the DLL. If that’s the case then you’ll need to go back to the older version that worked.
February 6, 20251 yr Author yes that amd_ags_x64.dll file is there. I don't even remember what version the previous one was. I don't know what to do to fix it. Any ideas. I have 2 amd_ags files, one has d3d12 in the filename. I can't recall. I'm not by my computer now to check. February 6, 20251 yr Author I reverted the amd_ags file back to v5.4.0.0 and it seems to be working now.
