MSFS 2024 LOADING?

Featured Replies

While MSFS2020 loads seamlessly without a hitch, MSFS2024  unfortunately encounters an error, preventing it from moving forward. Any idea?

Have you got the Nvidia app installed?  If so, try deleting it.

Thanks, I will uninstall it. Is there any replacement for it?

It has caused me issues recently, but it was fine for weeks.  Just wondered if it was causing your problem.

I had no problems at all with it, but all of a sudden 2024 would CTD as soon as I hit fly.  After a bit of unsuccessful fault finding I uninstalled 2024 (because it is so quick to install).  All the normal DLSS 4 configuration was fine, but as soon as installed Nvidia App, same CTD.

I re-installed again and all is fine without the Nvidia app.  No idea what on my system has suddenly changed to make this happen.

Thanks, I'll get back to you. Mine started acting suddenly.

I had this problem last week, stuck on loading at 96% with the unusual loading time saved to log error for days, went back to previous Nvidia driver and uninstalled....... still stuck at 96% UNTIL I found a fix -----> Alt + Ctrl + Delete to enter Windows Task Manager, when the sim is stuck on loading, then select Flight Simulator - end process to shut down MSFS2024 loading.

Once this has been done, restart MSFS2024 you should now have 2 options...continue or ...safe mode. Select Safe Mode. The sim should start normally minus everything in the Community Folder( contents not deleted - just not loaded). Now do a normal shutdown of the Sim via the menus. MSFS  2024 should now start normally.

Hope this helps

I believe there is a combination of problems.

There are no issues with MSFS2020. However, I have an RTX 4090, and with the new drivers using DLSS4 and the NVIDIA app, MSFS2024 intermittently CTD or experiences other issues. I downloaded an older driver without DLSS4 to find no issues. A friend has the 5090 card and has multiple intermittent issues with the MSFS2024 and none with the 2020. Something is missing here with NVIDIA and MSFS2024. There are way too many issues with MS2024 and NVIDIA. Thanks for steering me in the right direction.

Agreed.  Once I uninstalled the NVidia app I had no further problems.

There are problems being reported with DLSS4 and MSFS 2024. Best is to wait for official DLSS4 support in MSFS 2024.
