ATIS no sound and no on screen display

Featured Replies

I thought I understood how to use ATC/ATIS because I never had a problem in 2020.

In FS 2024 / Steam Beta I select "tune ATIS" for the airport in question but I see no crawl at the bottom of the screen and I hear no voice speaking the report.

I then manually tune the ATIS channel on both radios but hear nothing

Surely I am doing something dumb to disable the visual display and voice output but I don't know what I have done.  This happens in all my GA aircraft.

HELP!

Am I the only one to experience problems with ATIS in 2024?

When the Free Flight first starts, dark & cold or on the runway ready to fly, the ATC box/menu does not provide a Tune ATIS option.  After taking off and flying for a while the Tune ATIS option is available but when I click on it - nothing happens. If I manually tune the ATIS frequency I hear nothing, same for COM1 or COM2, and no WX info appears on the screen.

ATC works fine for all parts of the flight.  Once I land - the Tune ATIS option is no longer available.

What have I done wrong?

You are not alone. I can NEVER get ATIS to work in MS2024.

I turned on SubTitles in Languages and I now get the ATIS crawl across the bottom of the screen.

I still do not hear the ATIS on COM1 or 2.  I do hear all the other ATC voices on the COM channels.

And, I still can not get the ATIS info when starting a flight - the Tune option is not available.

Have you reduced the character voices volume to null under Sound?

Character volume is at 50% - I've tried two different audio outputs.  The same problem occurs in VR
