Vision jet auto throttle

Featured Replies

Hey 🙂

Either i am doing something wrong or have a bug.

I am trying to use the auto throttle of the vision jet but it seems it is not following the "profile"

For example just before take off i push auto throttle and fms mod, i see on the pdf that the magenta speed is set to 190 kts. Passed 500ft i activate autopilot and FLC but magenta kts doesnt Change, i have to force it manually in the vnav page.

When i check the profile for climb it is clearly state 165kts

Same for decent, i put 245kts for career mode to avoid losing some point if i go over 250

But nothing change, it is not following the profile. Its 190 for climb and 250 for decent if i do no force it

Any idea ?

Thanks

Is this the FFX version or the MS version? If it is the FFX version you might want to (re)set the VNAV defaults for all phases of flight. I remember the FFX version had a bug where the wrong speeds were used until you reset all the defaults on the VNAV page.

I always climb at 165 kts automatically using AT in FMS mode in the MS version. Imho the MS version is superior despite a few (general sim) bugs.

Considering the tag of this thread it is the MS2024 version.

This is the one in msfs24 by default no addon.

And i did not modify the vnav profil it is still by default at 165 for climb and 245 for decent

The FFX version can be used in MSFS2024 so it could have been about the FFX version. And hence if could have been a bug related to the use of the FFX version in MSFS2024. You should never presume things on a flight sim forum. 😉

Okay, odd. As far as I know the default MS version doesn't need a reset or anything. My VJ (the MS version because it's superior to the FFX version imho) alwasy defaults to 165 kts. What happens if you don't arm the AT etc. on the ground already? Did you enable the TO-mode? So do you see TO and TO at the top of the PFD? After starting the engines you could enable the AT on the ground already: you should see a third TO on the left of the PDF (at the top) in white. I wouldn't 'arm' the FLC and NAV mode already because they will put you out of TO mode.

Then take off and enable the AP plus FLC (and NAV or HDG) when above 400 ft. What does the top of the PDF show? Is the speed still 190 in magenta then?

It must be a user error (imho) because the default VJ works well here.

Well this is how i do.

Start the engine, programm everything, push the AT and toga button so i have all white TO on the pfd but the magenta 190kts is already there,

Then after take off (500ft) i push the autopilot, nav mod and flc mod, i do not arm them before take off

Tried again and as soon as i start the engine even without touching anything else, the magenta speed on pfd is already set at 200kts and same in fms speed in vnav
