MSFS2020 : Texture Resolution (HD, VS ULTRA)

Featured Replies

Hi fellow simmers,

What is your experience with this Graphic setting particular in MSFS2020 ?

I have had it all time at ULTRA but i have had to give it a notch down for the A350.

I just did a test with the  iFly 737 Max 8 and noticed a  1GB VRAM differents at Flytampa EKCH.

What is your verdict ? Also with High End PC´s

(This year at last i will build a new one 🙂

Higher setting eats up more vram. I have mine set to high, but medium looks good on my 1080p monitor and uses 1/2 the vram as ultra.

MSFS

Honestly, I had to lower it to high from ultra because I switched to a 4K monitor and the difference is negligible to me. But it frees up just enough VRAM that my 4080 gets along with 4K when also using AutoLOD. Just. No headroom. With a 24GB VRAM card, you can easily let it on ultra I guess, even at 4K.

Greetings, Chris
