Lost FrameGen sometime during last update

Featured Replies

Frame Generation was working perfectly but has vanished with the SU1 update, or maybe when Windows 11 Update did the big update on Tuesday.  I think I have got everything specified correctly and the proper drivers and .dlls installed - but no frame gen.

This is for my system running an i7-9700K and RTX 3060 Ti on Windows 11 24H2.

When the sim is running I see DLSSv3  V310.2.1 (nvapp_overide) D3D12 NGX  and Render Preset(k) in the information display

nVidia 527.20 Driver

nvngx_dlss.dll (310.2.1.0)  nvngx_dlss.dll.dlsss (2/20/25)  nvngx.dlssg.dll (310.2.0.0) are all in the folder with the FlightSimulator2024.exe

Profile Inspector shows:
Enable DLSS-FG override  Enable DLSS-RR override Enable DLSS-SR overide all set to 0x00000001
Override DLSS-RR presets and Override DLSS-SR presets to 0x00FFFFFF

The nVidia Application (up to date as of March 7, 2025 11.0.2.337) has DLSS Override - Model Presets and Frame Generation set to "Use the 3D application setting" and it cannot be changed

The DLSS Override Super Resolution is set to "Unsupported"

When I compare the settings to my 9800X3D/RTX 4070S system - they look identical.  The only difference is the 9800X3D system is still running Windows 11 23H2

What can I do to restore Frame Gen on this system?

AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D  / MSI X870 Tomahawk Mobo / 64 GB DDR5 memory / RTX 4070 Super with 12 GB VRAM / AORUS FO48U 4k display

Do you [not] see the FG slider in MSFS?

I'm finding that even with it enabled, I often need to do the ALT-ENTER (twice) hack to get it to work - otherwise I get awful stutters. I have to do that even in the same flight, if I change from VC to external view.

Wondering if you found the fix?

I'm having the problem in latest beta.

I don't see the FG box in the sim either.

What's odd in the FPS display it shows frame generation around the third line.  FPS is only 37 when it's usually 58.
