March 13, 20251 yr Some Brasilia shots post WU19 from 2024. First, the Juscelino Kubitschek Bridge. They've obviously hand-modelled the bridge itself, but then not masked out the underlying customary underwater road! And here's the same bridge in 2020 - And there are quite a few other things like this in this WU. Here's a fairground a bit further into the city, first in 2024 - and then in 2020 - Given what 2024 is capable of visually, I'm amazed that they've manage to scr*w up some of this stuff the way they have. This is supposed to be the "new improved, flagship product" Again, when it's good, it is totally amazing. But boy does it have its off days. Ryzen 9 7900X, Corsair H150 AIO cooler, 64 Gb DDR5, Asus X670E Hero m/b, 3090ti, 13Tb NVMe, 8Tb SSD, 16Tb HD, 55" Philips 4k HDR monitor, EVGA 1600w ps, all in Corsair 7000D airflow case. Sims in use - 2020, 2024, XP-12 and -11, FSX/SE, P3Dv4.5 and v5.4. DCS and AFS2 installed but rarely used
March 14, 20251 yr Cool shots, Andy. One more reason for me to stay for the time being with FS2020, which I'm most happy with 😉 Any attempt to stretch fuel is guaranteed to increase headwinds My specs: AMD Radeon RX6700XT, AMD Ryzen 9 5900X, 32GB RAM, 34" monitor, screen resolution: 2560x1080

I have done a couple of flights in 2020 of late, and it still looks amazing, but 2024 knocks it out of the water for me when it's good. I won't be dumping 2020 any time soon, but I do spend almost all my time in 2024 now. Have you had a look around Rio? I did, and every other second my reaction was "wow" followed by "aaargh". It could be that SBRJ by Paulo Ricardo created some conflicts, as a friend which doesn't use that addon reports that he didn't see any of the PG shenanigans. Btw I've had PG off for a few months now. It can look quite amazing, but then there's the PG tree blobs - and the worst part, IMO, is the constant popping in of objects of buildings. 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5

It could be that SBRJ by Paulo Ricardo created some conflicts, as a friend which doesn't use that addon reports that he didn't see any of the PG shenanigans. I did have one flight around there the other day, just to check it out. No addons active in the area (I have the Ricardo airports but haven't tried them here yet) and far more "wow" than "aaargh". The bridge across the bay is missing its middle section, and the Redeemer statue wasn't showing initially! Flew right over it low and slow and no sign of the big guy (insert irreligious joke of choice here if necessary). Carried on a bit, and when I looked back he was there, and he stayed in place for the rest of the flight around there. So don't know what that was all about. I will go back and see how the Ricardo SBRJ affects things, but I am finding that a lot of the addons I bought for 2020 feel unnecessary with 2024. Partly because the level of detail in the natural world now is so great I tend to avoid tin tubes and large airports now. Never did use them much but they were a much better source of detail in 2020 so I bought loads of them. I doubt that I'll be buying anything like the level of airport addons for 24 as I did for 20. I can see buying lots of little out of the way strips but given that I don't really care for tube flying only big airports in places I'm interested in will grab me. More for the surroundings than anything. And I'm sticking with PG, even with it's blobs. I'll just avoid those areas that really offend me. How uncanny - I was pretty much flying over it Him, then it He suddenly revealed Himself. Strange. 38 minutes ago, andy1252 said: I will go back and see how the Ricardo SBRJ affects things, but I am finding that a lot of the addons I bought for 2020 feel unnecessary with 2024. Well, one advantage of Ricardo's addon is that the bridge is complete - no missing sections. Apart from that, I thought the Asobo handcrafted Santos Dumont looked quite good. March 15, 20251 yr Interesting exploration of this unique-looking bridge from MSFS2024, Andy... (being a lifelong lover of all kinds of bridges...🙂...) I was just now looking at a few on-line pictures of it, and it looks decent in your shots, except, of course, that underlying roadway... Thanks for sharing your initial observations after this World Update...!
March 16, 20251 yr Yes, not impressed by that, still the same Problem with MSFS2020, heavy for me to understand that this is sutch a big issue to show Bridges like it should be ?? cheers 🤔 08.2024 new PC is online : ASUS ROG STRIX X670E-F GAMING WIFI Mainboard, AMD Ryzen™ 9 7950X3D Prozessor, G.Skill DIMM 64 GB DDR5-6000 (2x 32 GB) Dual-Kit, MSI GeForce RTX 4090 VENTUS 3X E 24G OC Grafikkarte, 2x WD Black SN850X NVMe SSD 4 TB - Drive C+D, WD Gold Enterprise Class 12 TB for storage HDD, Thermaltake Toughpower GF3 1000W PC - Power supply, Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 EVO CPU Aircooler with 7 Heatpipes, Design Meshify 2 White TG Clear Tint Tower-Case, 3x 4K monitors 2x32 Samsung 1x27 LG 3840x2160, Windows11 Prof. 23H2 - now Windows11 Prof. 25H2 Flightsimulator Hardware: Honeycomb Throttle Bravo, Logitech Extreme 3D Pro, Logitech Flight Joke System, XBox Controller, some Thrustmaster stuff, Winwing CDU Panels.
