Road Traffic for the Far East in FSX?

Featured Replies

Don't know of an addon like UT, but SBuilderX, in the library, can add roads and traffic to any area and works with simconnect for placement while in the sim.Regards, MichaelKDFW

Bryan,I'm convinced that there are communities, like avsim, active in both Korea and Japan. And hence there must be forums with downloads for Korea, Japan and other Asian countries. I guess that the languages might be the challenge. I wonder how many quality add ons for Asian countries that we have never heard of.Ulf B

Hi Ulf,Well I live Asia. I can't speak the local language in any meaningful way other than to totally mangle it, so I can't really read what few Asian based FS websites there are.But generally speaking from what I have seen there doesn't seem to be a very large FS fan base in Asia.I think it's a cultural thing. They really don't care about aviation the same way westerners do, and where I am the locals are more into Starcraft... they even have a dedicated TV channel for the thing...-Bryan

I live in Asia, I speak two of the local languages, and I haven't seen any FSX scenery addon for Asia in any of the Japanese or Chinese language forums. The flightsim communities are quite big, but there are no developers around. I was personally involved in a scenery project two years ago which was abandoned for financial reasons. The vast majority of users in Asia simply wouldn't pay anything for add-ons. Game piracy is a huge problem here.

I know this designer more for his Las Vegas and Hawaii addon, but have downloaded and installed his Japan based work. Have flown only a little to look at it. I only dream of having his modelling skills. The photo based scenery is subject to taste. But I can't argue about the price!http://fs-x.world.coocan.jp/index.htm
