April 16, 20251 yr Hello, I'm just curios if there is a mode that allow to extend night lighting during dawn and start it earlier during dusk. We had this mode back in FS2004/FSX/P3D days, so perhaps we have it for MSFS2020 as well? 9950X3D, X870E ROG CROSSHAIR HERO, Corsair Dominator Titanium 64GB DDR5-6000 PC5-48000, ASUS RTX 5070Ti 16GB, 9100 PRO 4TB Samsung ,990 PRO 4TB Samsung, AX1600i 1600 Watt 80 Plus Titanium ATX, ASUS 360 ARGB EXTREME 360mm Liquid CPU Cooling Kit.
April 16, 20251 yr I'd be interested if anyone has created a mod for 2024 - as I've always found MSFS dawn/dusk onsets totally unrealistic. eg. 9pm on a summer's evening in NZ is still quite bright in RL - yet the sim depicts it as almost night.

Guess it is because in RL, you get all sorts of light scattering (atmospheric, terrain etc.) and this would only be possible if you have full and real raytracing in the sim. Probably running with 1FPS on current rigs then (2FPS on a 5090). Greetings, Chris AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, 2x32GB DDR5 6000MT/s RAM, MSI RTX 4090 Ventus 3X, Windows 11 Home, MSFS2024

Ok, so your issue is not that the sim depicts lighting conditions at true 9pm wrong but it depicts it like it is 12am? Maybe the time zone correction addon on flightsim.to something for you to test then? It seems to work in both 2020 and 2024.
