When I came home from Korea after the cease fire was signed I thought, "Well, perhaps we learned our lesson about wars solving world problems and we won't have to fight anymore in my lifetime. How naive I realized I was when I found myself in Vietnam. We are constantly going to war or preparing for war and improving war fighting techniques and weapons systems. I suppose it is the nature of us. Now we are developing war robots. Perhaps eventually we will sit comfortably at home and watch our wars being fought by robots and drones on television. But what happens if their robots beat our robots or vice versa? 'Peace on earth Goodwill towards men' is just a Christmas homily we recite knowing full well it will never happen. Noel The tires are worn. The shocks are shot. The steering is wobbly. But the engine still runs fine.
