Aircraft landing too early and then 'bouncing' to runway

Featured Replies

Hi,Wonder if anyone can help with this. I've noticed that ocassionally AI planes will descend either too early or too rapidly and land a mile or so before the runway - they will then bounce along the ground (going 100 or so ft above the ground then coming down again) until they reach the runway at which point they taxi to the gate.I've noticed this at several airports and with several AI models (World of AI and Ultimate Traffic models). Would this indicate a problem with an ACAD file or is it to do with the aircraft models or something else entirely?thanksJon

It's the AI aircraft's flight model, most of the time. I have noticed some of them doing that, too.RhettFS box: E8500 (@ 3.80 ghz), AC Freezer 7 Pro, ASUS P5E3 Premium, BFG 8800GTX 756 (nVidia 169 WHQL), 4gb DDR3 1600 Patriot Cas7 7-7-7-20 (2T), PC Power 750, WD 150gb 10000rpm Raptor, Seagate 500gb, Silverstone TJ09 case, Vista Ultimate 64ASX Client: AMD 3700+ (@ 2.6 ghz), 7800GT

This generally only happens when you first start the sim. Its caused by the ai starting position being incorrect, ie too close to the runway.. its usualyy all sorted out bby the second or third plane.
