Emile, default as opposed to what, the VC view of the default flight? The key point is that startup information is taken from whatever flight is designated "default". Unless you change it, it will be FSXFlightsotherFLTSIM.FLT.You can just save another flight from the Locked Spot Viewpoint as Default - then new flights will start from that viewpoint. To make the Locked Spot view be the initial view when starting a flight using the original default flight, you can start the default flight, pause the flight, switch whatever (such as the view), save it; then copy it back to the FSXflightsother folder where is was originally. Or leave it saved with the other flights keeping the original name, but make IT the default flight.Loyd

Alternatively, you can edit your camera.cfg file and disable the normal Spot View camera from the cycle by changing CycleHidden=Yes:[CameraDefinition.003]Title = SpotGuid = {BCA3FDD1-FB83-4BBA-8407-4922A7F0D00C}Description = This is the description of the spot view.Origin = CenterSnapPbhAdjust = OrdinalSnapPbhReturn = FalsePanPbhAdjust = SwivelPanPbhReturn = FalseTrack = FlatChaseShowAxis = NoAllowZoom = YesInitialZoom = 1.0SmoothZoomTime = 2.0ShowWeather = YesXyzAdjust = FALSETransition = YesShowLensFlare=TRUECategory = OutsideClipMode = SpotPitchPanRate=30HeadingPanRate=75PanAcceleratorTime=0CycleHidden=Yes

Does that CycleHidden=Yes line work for any camera view? And also, I added that line to my spot view, hoping that my locked spot view would remain. Now I don't have any spot views.... did I edit the cfg incorrectly?

Now I don't have any spot>views.... did I edit the cfg incorrectly?Yes. It will remove any of the S-key cycle views that're listed in the camera.cfg file. That flag does have the tendency to sometimes screw up the S-key (sub-view cycle)......but not always.Rightclick on the outside screen and choose Fixed Spot from the list to resynch the S-key cycle.
