May 28, 20251 yr I have a couple of questions regarding MSFS 2024 options...and I am assuming what I am asking are options indeed and not features that cannot be changed. When the A/C is about to enter the runway and before I select "Ready to Fly", I am hearing announcement about clearance to enter the runway and these continue after being on the runway. I don't want MSFS 2024 ATC to be active and I thought it was off but apparently it is not. I also unchecked the "Communication" setting in the settings menu accessible in the cockpit. How do I turn-off all native ATC functionality ? When I hover over controls, they turn blue. How do I turn-off ? in the cockpit, there is an overlay of a compass (upper left), flaps/trim/altitude status (lower right), etc. MSFS 2020 has setting INSTRUMENT HEADS-UP DISPLAY-COCKPIT CAM to control this, which can be set ON or OFF. What's the setting in MSFS 2024 ? Thanks zachlog
May 28, 20251 yr The "fake" ATC sounds during the session start are just an "effect" and don't have any connection to the actual session ATC, that will not exist if you correctly turned it out in the settings. You can find out all of the required steps to "kill" FS 2024 ATC here, for example: How To Enable/Disable AI Radio Communications ATC Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 Regarding the blue colours when you over the cursor on instruments it is related: MSFS - How to Change from LOCK to LEGACY | Cockpit Interaction System Finally to disable HUD: How To Remove HUD In Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)

Even after setting AI RADIO COMMUNICATIONS (ATC) to OFF, I am still hearing ATC asking me to respond. This is immediately after takeoff during the initial climb. Is there perhaps a bug related to this ? This setting is OFF and it was OFF even before the OP. zachlog
May 30, 20251 yr To disable AI traffic: General Settings → Online Settings → Set Aircraft Traffic Type to Off. Graphics Settings → Scroll to the bottom → Turn Traffic Airport Quality to Off. If flying in VR, disable AI traffic in the VR Settings as well. To disable ATC: Settings → Accessibility → Turn Subtitles Off. Settings → Assistance (under Realism) → Set AI Radio Communications (ATC) to Off and ATC Enforce Flight Plan to Off. Settings → General → Sound → Set Character Voice to 0. May 31, 20251 yr I found that if you turn ATC Enforce Flight Plan off, the sim will pick your takeoff runway and over-ride your selection if it is different. If you leave that setting on, the plane will load onto the runway you select. Al

According to what I'm reading, Legacy is only for keyboard and mouse! Lock is for XBox. What about a joystick on a PC?

I am currently transitioning, albeit slowly, to MSFS 2024 and doing some initial testing so I have not done any serious flights (PMDG or Fenix). Overriding my runway selection is a no bueno so I will keep an eye out for this one. zachlog

What about a joystick on a PC? After jcomm's very helpful direction, I did a couple of very brief flights with LEGACY and with the TCA joystick, and all looks good....thus far. zachlog
