TDS airplane fiasco

Featured Replies

I don't see the point in copy protection for freeware. If somebody publish the tds model as his own, so what? Nobody will love this person for doing this. It may even end in a huge word not allowed storm. How much fame would Hiroshi, the original designer loose by this? I'm sure, we only know his name because of the actual problems.

@spilokIf you have the money to buy a new system made for you, then it should not be a problem to spend $69.95 for a descent 737. The only TDS models I use today are the 727 which are not available as commercial models for P3D. I have no problem with this under current Windows 11. I also had the TDS 737 Max package from Rikooo. That worked without problems o and is the TDS model: https://www.rikoooo.com/downloads/viewdownload/55/939 but it's no match to the iFly 737Max8, which I have now. The Rikooo package is certainly a good choice for people who prefer an automatic hazzle free installation and a free aircraft.

If I recall correctly, I think somebbody re-packaged the product and tried to sell it commercially as their own work.

Makes sense then even for me. Some freeware producers even have problems if you give it away re-packed for free.
