July 20, 2025Jul 20 how is traffic (beta) in sayintentions.ai performing? Is at better than other traffic injectors? Opinions please as I dont care to fork out money to test a beta i9-14900K, 64G DDR5, 24G VRAM RTX4090 Velocity One Yoke and Quadrant LG rudder pedals Bluetooth earbuds
July 20, 2025Jul 20 Performance is far far better than any other program. I can run with nearly full, busy airports. FSHud started stuttering with just a couple of dozen for me. There is some jank, some aircraft may still taxi towards you, but the routing is getting far better. The odd aircraft might be sunk into the terrain. The voices, routing, ascent and descent are very good. Nearly always vectors me correctly now. The cabin crew and tour guide things are gimmicks but they work pretty well. The last landing I did at Heathrow, on taxi to the gate she started giving out information for departing connecting flights, information that was real and true. Really cool. For a basic ATC it does the job fantastically. You can link to your iPad and track and listen to other flights. You cannot have traffic at all airports, only the ones that have been programmed in as far as taxiways go. This is most major airports for sure, but Antalya is a large airport I recently found empty. This list is growing every day. En route traffic is believable and the voices are great. You can of course see them and hear them. Overall, worth the high price for me because I value busy airports and decent performance. It's worth it and really cool if you can put up with a bit of jankiness. Busy, believable airports and great ATC. There is also a feeling that they really are changing things daily and adapting, whereas to me FSHud and BATC seem really stagnant and not evolving at the moment. I've used all of them. I may be out of date of course. Edited July 20, 2025Jul 20 by Langeveldt
July 20, 2025Jul 20 I’d agree with the above. For actual ATC it works very well and unlike BATC which regularly completely loses the plot once you begin your descent, SI has done a decent job at handing vectoring. For example yesterday I flew into Zurich which has a long and convoluted STAR with a lot of extra track miles. Upon reaching the first waypoint having been cleared to the altitude on the chart, SI vectored me off onto a downwind heading and positioned me nicely for the approach. You definitely need to keep your wits about you in terms of speeds and the descent profile but it works well. Traffic is still WIP but from what I can see it works pretty well.
July 20, 2025Jul 20 If you're a "premium" user they can take your voice and manipilate it for ATC traffic if you want. Also they can do the same thing and make him (or her) your copilot where you also can choose their attitude, eg. funny, serious, sarcastic etc. I can vaguely recognize my voice in these instances. It's cool. If you ever hear lima papa four niner that's me. Forever indebted to the late Michael Greenblatt of FSGS.
July 20, 2025Jul 20 I have too recently started using SI ATC and I think it's great. As above there is some nice touches with the information given on the PA. With ATC, it does feel like you're talking to another human being in the way they interact with you. I also like the CPDLC function as well as being able to get PDC. I've not had any bad vectoring yet, and SI is quite happy to facilitate any requests, like direct-to's and diversion strategies. One thing I would like to see better done is ground handling and being told to wait for oncoming aircraft. The other day, I flew into Dublin and had a "caution bird activity" from tower when being cleared to land. As I was approaching the end of the runway, I flew through a swarm of birds. Gavin Price
