Need feedback on "SimLoad Manager" for Xp12...

Hi everyone, I've just discovered this topic about Simload Manager, I'm the creator.

To help you : if you are on X-Plane12 you must install the XP12 version of FlywithLUALua in your plugins folder.

The scripts (Simple Ground Equipment and Services and Simload Manager) go in the FlywithLUA scripts folder.

At this stage, Simload Manager has NO influence on the aircraft themselves. It does not manage their weight or fuel (e.g. the default fuel already in Simload Manager at the time of loading is completely arbitrary now). This will be the case progressively via future updates.

I'm always available if you need help 🫡

Hi everyone,

Just a quick update on SimLoad Manager.

Since the opening of this thread, the plugin has gone through many changes and major improvements: new features, revised internal logic, and overall maturity based on continuous development since last year.

The project has now reached version 2.1.1, which is currently available here:

Thanks again for the interest and feedback — more to come.

Hello guys!

Simload Manager V3 is here!

New Features & Improvements

Complete workflow overhaul: SLM now features two distinct modes — a Departure mode and an Arrival mode — each with its own dedicated set of steps.

New steps added: Crew Briefing, Catering, and Cleaning are now part of the aircraft handling sequence.

Departure mode: designed like a Cold & Dark setup, it takes the aircraft through all preparation steps from its initial state to ready-for-departure.

Arrival mode: two sub-modes available depending on the situation:

Turnaround: for a quick aircraft reset and turnaround between flights.

RON (Remain Over Night): for long-term parking and overnight handling.

New sounds associated with the new steps for enhanced immersion.

Fuel and weights now applied directly to the aircraft: fuel and payload management is now applied in real time to the aircraft (see full description for details).

Steps automatically stop if the beacon light is on: SLM halts all ongoing operations as soon as the rotating beacon is activated, ensuring behaviour consistent with real-world procedures.

Option to skip the Crew Briefing: the briefing step can be bypassed via a dedicated option in the settings.

🔧 Changes

Full UI overhaul with revised layout and interactions for better clarity and an improved user experience.

Global code revision and optimisation for better performance and a more robust architecture.

Hi, I have just installed SimLoad manager and got it working, but noticed a couple of things (nothing serious)

1. Passengers seem to appear on the 'other side' of the bus, they walk thru the bus and board the plane.

2. Passengers only board at the front stairs.

3. When should i switch the beacon on. SLM always puts a message out saying that the beacon lights are on even after all loading is completed

Any thoughts please

Thanks

Hello,

As for the first two points, they aren't handled by Simload Manager but by SGES. I might be able to do something about the second staircase, but I'm not sure.

As for the last point, yes, that's normal—it's to warn you that there won't be any ground operations if it's enabled.
