August 14, 2025Aug 14 I use it; I feel that even in “fast mode” things take too long, but that’s only my opinion.
August 14, 2025Aug 14 I have been looking for something similar to GSX for Xplane so will give this a try 🙂 My youtube channel http://www.youtube.com/c/Dkentflyer
August 14, 2025Aug 14 Author tried it and it's very nice ! August 14, 2025Aug 14 I hope someone can help as i am a bit lost ( i am still very new to the world of Xplane) and at the moment have a fairly simple installation with just the ZIBO mod and FF 757 I have downloaded the program and I have noted that i need a couple of prerequisites FlywithLUA Simple Ground Equipment & Services. At the moment i don't have these so I have also downloaded them, right now i have hit a bit of a wall as i don't know what to do next. I note from my XPlane 12 installation i already have something called Xlua 1.3.0r1 running ( i believe this is for the Zibo 737). Does the Xlua need replacing? Can anyone help me with the next steps (Moderators please feel free to separate into a separate topic if required). kind regards Darran My youtube channel http://www.youtube.com/c/Dkentflyer
August 14, 2025Aug 14 Author There's a "Scripts" subfolder of FlyWithLua where I dropped the SimLoad manager content: X-Plane 12/Resources/plugins/FlyWithLua/Scripts/ I guess the same would apply to that other component which I even skipped - Simple ground equipment and services. BTW, thank you for having made me aware of it !!! Then from within a Xp12 session under the plugins tab you choose the FlyWithLua plugin and the various scripts can be started from there. August 14, 2025Aug 14 I installed FlyWithLua and then Simload Manager. However, before I could use the program I noticed that almost all switches in my Airfoillabs King Air 350 were frozen, only the rotary buttons continued to work. I need to further investigate, but it might be that FlyWithLua is not compatible with that airplane. Did anyone else have such an experience before?
August 14, 2025Aug 14 To install FlyWithLua and Simple Ground Equipment & Services, simply follow their official installation procedures as stated on their download pages or in their manuals. In FWL's case, obviously replace the "X-Plane 10" in "X-Plane 10/Resources/plugins" with "X-Plane 12" as the instructions and manual have been written a while ago. Now I see why X-Plane wasn't working anymore!!!! Bummer!!!! I followed their instructions so carefully, down to the line, and changed my Xp12 folder name to "X-Plane 10", and whenever I tried to start it something weird was happening. Every single time 😕 OFC I promptly uninstalled X-Plane and returned to FS 2024.... Bummer !!! Always blaming LR when the culprit is me 😞 Edited August 17, 2025Aug 17 by jcomm Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)
August 17, 2025Aug 17 Hmm, fine may be overstated. I tried it with a default 737 and the AirfoilLabs King Air. The 737 seems to work fine, although I haven't tried Simbrief integration. With the King Air, the script itself seems to work and I can see Marshalls and equipment (moving cargo trucks, bus, fuel truck) but no baggage handlers and no passengers. And while the Simload manager displays the correct number of pax and fuel, the amount of fuel in the tanks and payload weight in the plane is not correct. Hmm, where to start with fixing this?
August 17, 2025Aug 17 Since the base is Simple Ground Equipment & Services, first check that tool stand-alone. If there are no passengers for the KA350 in SGES, you will not see any in Simload Manager either. 7950X3D + 7900 XT + 64 GB + Linux | 4800H + RTX2060 + 32 GB + Linux My add-ons from my FS9/FSX days
