MSFS2024 maxed out with everything on ultra

Featured Replies

I was watching a video yesterday (can't remember who made it) where the author suggested maxing out everything in MSFS and using 3x Nvidia native framegen.  Well, I thought no harm in trying so gave it a shot.  So far even in my heaviest scenery areas, I've been able to achieve a super smooth 60 FPS with virtually no dips at all (I've set 60 max in the NVCP as I don't really need any more than that and much prefer the smoothness of not going for max FPS all the time.

I know 3X framegen will not be everyones cup of tea, but if you have a 5000 series card, it's well worth a try.

before SU3 anything other than 2X frame gen did not work.  I have noted some fairly high VRAM usage at these settings in early testing but have not had the VRAM warning yet, so it will be interesting to see how SU3 handles that aspect.

I'm running at 1440 2k rez by the way and using 200 LOD and 200 OLED = I guess bumping up the TLOD any further might just be a bit too much.

Does 3x work in the sim itself? Every time I select 3x in the sim, it reverts back to 2x. I have to force 3x in the N app.

It seems to stick whilst I am using MSFS but I did close it down to change the content of my community folder and when I reopened it I could see that it had reverted to 2X, so I will need to keep an eye on that and maybe force it as you did if it keeps happening.

I am having the same problem of 3x not sticking in MSFS 2024. Setting it in the Nvidia app seem to work for me as well in the meantime. And yes, I have a 5000 series GPU.
