September 13, 2025Sep 13 Hello Everyone I am 75 years old and not very technical. I am looking to add an SSD 6TG to transfer all my add ons : OBX, FlyTampa Fc Sceneries to instead of having everything my c drive. The problem is that I do not know how to do it. Many charitable persons have given me in passing some advise like Lorbi organiser or “ I have around 9tb of SSD space. Gradually added 2tb m.2 sticks and installed my addons there.. But to me , unfortunately, it means nothing. Is there a place where I could find a step by step way to do it in layman’s term? Or is there a charitable member who would be willing to help me? This is my bottle to the sea and I hope it will be found. thanks in advance claude
September 17, 2025Sep 17 Hey Claude. Re your Orbx add-ons there is a way to relocate the entire installed Library without having to re-install your Orbx purchases, check out the following post which explains how. I haven't had to do this myself but assuming it works this will be the easiest to follow way for you to migrate the Orbx stuff off of the C drive onto your new drive.. https://forum.orbxdirect.com/topic/205121-moving-orbx-library-to-different-drive/ the FC-Scenery add-ons will be another easy target, download the ZIP files once you've purchased a region direct to the new drive, when all files from one area are in the same folder unzip the first file and the rest should all unzip in the same place, then just use the scenery-add-new-area menu thing in P3D to activate it. If you have a FC Scenery or other photo-real already installed on the C drive just deactivate them in the P3D add-ons menu, move the folder to the new drive in the file explorer/my computer view, and re-activate them. Anything you've installed via a setup.exe type installer will be possible but a little more fidly. I'd recommend for those you uninstall them and re-install them selecting the new drive as location. Re P3D itself, if I were you I'd just leave that where it is for now. Good luck. Dean Stringer
