Varying Sim Rate...

Featured Replies

So, inspired by the need to accelerate the simulation of long haul flights now that I have the A340, I thought about trying sim rate, and in my setting I have:

- Activate Sim Rate: ALT-R

- Sim Rate Increase: ALT-F

- Sim Rate Decreas: ALT-S

I also downloaded from Flightsim.to a tiny executable which adds the vaery useful, and not available in the sim, in screen display of the actual sim rate factor, but, when flying the Inibuilds A340 if I vary sim rate by pressing ALT-F twice I can get up to x4, and then it resets to 1x then I ALT-F again, and can even go higher than x4, to x8, x16 and even x32 ( which is not good in the A340 ) but the moment I leave it there it resets to x1 ???

Have to try with other aircraft, yes, but, how do you set sim rate and what do you use to check the current factor?

I think 4x is the highest you can use with any ini airplane. 4x is the highest with the Fenix as well.

Is the fuel burn correct when you do that?  I mean on the A340, or any plane really.

In other aircraft when I set a given rate ir stays there. In the ini 340 after a couple of seconds it reverts to rate 1.

Doesn’t it have an internal option in the EfB to do time compression like their a350?

Checking... Will report back! THX!

EDIT: And, that's it, it's under the cogwheel !!! Thx, and it works for x2 and x4, but truth is in a short LPPT - LPPR while I was playing with it and then returned to normal mode, after a couple minutes I got into WASM bummer :_/
