October 12, 2025Oct 12 I have my FS20 running smooth and steady but there is one trait it has that is extremely irritating- the annoyances with loading and flying a save flight. Saved flight issues in FS20: You cannot control the weather You cannot control the time Slew is disabled Navigation data is lost Flight loads with autopilot turned off so you are greeted with a nosedive/steep climb This means that if I want to continue the flight without issue later I have to use Developer Pause (the only true pause) & leave the PC on. I would like to know if FS24 is the same? Or have they fixed all that? I've never understood why those 5 things are present in the saved flight. Would be great to hear from you all who use FS24!
October 14, 2025Oct 14 That's a valid question. Would anyone be able to reply, please? I used saving of flights a lot prior to FS 2020. Then stopped with it exactly because of the 5 reasons above. I am on FS 2024 now but not at the moment. October 14, 2025Oct 14 I suspect it's once again a licencing /encryption issue. Can't have a fully featured SAVE STATE without accessing actual sim data(especially the licenced weather) . There would already be a very lucrative addon if this was possible. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if even asking for this feature from addon developers on the official forums would get you a time out. Russell Gough SE London
