October 15, 2025Oct 15 HELLO, loving this program ever since i found out about it. I just wanted to check if there anyway to change the preselected max live back to independent amount instead of the current settings. i want to have more than 50 AC in the sim, but when i select 75 its too many and causes my audio driver to have static in the sound. because of the mass amount of sounds being created. also at night you can have more than 40 AC in the sim cause it will then cause the light flickering. I like the old way of being able to put independent numbers in. I am sure there is more to way you reconfigured it this way some time back. just thought I'd ask. thanks for the great work! October 16, 2025Oct 16 Hi, I'm glad to hear you enjoy my program. The Max Live selector is mainly intended for older systems with limited computing or graphical power. The primary way to control the number of live aircraft is by adjusting the Radius. With the radius setting, you can easily keep the number of live aircraft below 60 (the extra option you suggested for the selector). Even better, you can use the Auto Range function. These controls are also implemented more efficiently in PSXT than the Max Live setting, so I recommend keeping Max Live at 500. Nico
October 16, 2025Oct 16 Also to note that you mentioned the sounds. Are you using FSLTL? The sounds used in FSLTL aircraft are horrible, way too strong. It's not an issue of too many aircraft. i7-13700KF, 32gb DDR4 3200, RTX 4080, Win 11, MSFS 2024
October 26, 2025Oct 26 I really like the way it’s set up now. On my older system I set up 50 for range and 50 for maximum this way outside busy areas. I can see contrails far away but when it gets busy, it doesn’t bug out my system. Not a bad idea to customize by inputting specific number for both in preferences, and if that is done on the display, it will automatically pop out as custom mike Sim,PC, monitor, prescription glasses, chair.

OK guys i figured out my problem. the cracking and popping sounds i would get if I had more than 40 live aircraft moving in the sim(not gated) was due to AIG models. Maybe my models are corrupted or the sound codec for AIG are outdated. I installed the FSTL models and its a world of difference! sounds are strong as said above but more realistic and you can also go into msfs sound settings and turn the AI AIRCRAFT SOUND setting down to your liking to fix the strong sounds. i loaded up in heathrow and kdfw with well over 100 live moving AI traffic using PSXT and not a single issue with the sound of cracking and popping sounds. I believe the FSTL models are a bit on the heavy side of fps, but im loving it. i have FSTL set to PRimary and AIG set as secondary for GA traffic in PSXT. hope this helps someone.
