November 16, 2025Nov 16 I have been using EFB pad in VR for approach charts in instrument flights and it works good enough. The thing is, this EFB pad would be perfect for VR flights if Asobo can just make two small improvements: 1. Allow repositioning the pad, or to pop out the EFB window to position and resize it anywhere in the cockpit, like weather window in VR. Can't see why this can't be easily implemented. - just make EFB one of those windows when you hit the Tab key? 2. Pop up a virtual keyboard when click the search box, so one can quickly search and open charts for a specific airport. Right now I'm using EFB in VR by either pre-opening the charts on 2D screen before entering VR, or finding the airport on the moving map in VR flight and click for information - quite distractive to do in the air. Also, the screen resolution/size in VR is just notch below what is needed to display a clearly readable chart at 100% full screen. I have to at least zoom in by one click. Again, just so close to be perfect. 9950X3D / 64GB / RTX5090 / Pimax Crystal Light / Win11
November 20, 2025Nov 20 Author OK, I was stupid... there is indeed already a EFB pop out window available when you hit the Tab key. You can pop out a full functional EFB window and it can be repositioned anywhere in the cockpit - great! The strange thing is that it can't be resized, a bit too big, and the aspect ratio is wrong (too wide). The screen resolution in pop out window appears to be the same low resolution of virtual EFB tablet screen, but due to its big size I actually can read the whole approach chart without zooming in. The only major problem now is no virtual keyboard available to type in search box. 9950X3D / 64GB / RTX5090 / Pimax Crystal Light / Win11
November 22, 2025Nov 22 Yeah if it was re sizeable it'd be great, I try to avoid using the toolbar and just fly planes with a proper EFB tablet but not every plane has one of them which is a shame Pico Neo3 Link VR - Windows 11 64bit, Gigabyte Z590 Aorus Elite Mobo, i7-10700KF CPU, Gigabyte RX 9070 XT OC 16gb (AMD GPU), 32gig Corsair 3600mhz RAM, SSD x2 + M.2 SSD 1tb x1 Saitek X45 HOTAS - Saitek Pro Rudder Pedals - Logitech Flight Yoke - Homemade 3 Button & 8-directional Joystick Box, SNES Controller (used as a Button Box - Additional USB Numpad (used as a Button Box)
November 23, 2025Nov 23 There used to be, and I think there still is a semi permanent setting in the EFB somewhere to make it small, medium, or large. From then on it will always be small, medium, or large and won't change unless you go into the settings, you can't just drag it smaller with a mouse. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. November 26, 2025Nov 26 hello what i cant understand is why asobo dont use the same method for EFB as A2A with the Aerostar . The EFB is on a tablet that we can move in vr . inside this tablet you can acess to simbrief efb , navigraph, neofly map . Too bad other dev dont use this method of dealing with efb

The Small/Medium/Large setting in EFB works well in VR. It doesn't change pop out window size, but increases the screen resolution when set to Medium or Large, making approach chart perfectly readable. The landscape/portrait and aspect settings are still messed up, but a relatively minor issue. If only we can type to search when in VR, and resize the window ... 9950X3D / 64GB / RTX5090 / Pimax Crystal Light / Win11
November 27, 2025Nov 27 What I would like in the ATC window, (not the EFB), is an ability to remove the helicopter airports when flying in a plane. If we click on "nearest airports", there is only room for a few on each page. And lots of them are heliports which clutter up the works. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. December 10, 2025Dec 10 Author Don't know if anyone noticed too: after SU4, the screen resolution of EFB at LARGE and MEDIUM screen size settings are actually reduced in VR. Now the chart display are back to sth similar to SMALL settings in SU3. It's ok, but high resolution chart display in VR was quite a treat. 9950X3D / 64GB / RTX5090 / Pimax Crystal Light / Win11
