December 3, 2025Dec 3 Didn't there used to be a sub-forum with these guys here? I have a question. I recently bought the Orbx Jurassic World add-on for 2020 and I used the Airbus helicopter with the GTN and meticulously went to each helipad/runway and entered in custom waypoints. They all saved and work just fine, but with only the helicopter. When I try it with any other plane with the GTN those waypoints don't show up. I was under the impression this was a global setting. Anyone know what I might be doing wrong? Many thanks. Jack Jack Sawyer

It’s confusing and things scroll so fast, like hundreds of people at the same time. I’m too old for that stuff. I wish they had a presence here or their own forum. Jack Sawyer

December 4, 2025Dec 4 What aircraft were you using? And you're saying you used the TDS GTNxi to add custom waypoints and then expected them to be around when you loaded a new plane? I don't think it works like that but don't quote me. Discord is not too difficult... you can set notifications to only @ mentions.... so you'll get a notification if someone answers you directly... and you'll be able to easily find that message. you can also search a "channel" for keywords etc. edit: here I did a screenshot with text for navigation. December 4, 2025Dec 4 Commercial Member Hello Jack, We have discussed in the past via email; you can always email me! We do offer other means of support than Discord, while Discord is the primary means of communication, we have a dedicated support email address as well which customers can utilize if they do not want to use Discord, this is stated in our PDF manual as well as other public places. let's clarify the user waypoints, in fact the per-unit settings. The TDS GTNXi is envisioned as a 4 system unit: GTN750XI Unit 1 ->Navigator_XI_1 GTN750XI Unit 2->Navigator_XI_2 GTN650XI Unit 1 ->Navigator_XI_3 GTN650XI Unit 2 ->Navigator_XI_4 Each unit has its own settings and user waypoints. Creating user waypoints on one unit will save them in the system flash of the respective unit. Which unit were you using for the helicopter? With the introduction of the TDS GTNXi Pro and crossfill, if you run two units in the same panel, each custom user waypoint/setting will get transferred to the second GTNXi unit. For example if you run the default MSFS EC135 which contains the 750Xi Unit 1 and 650Xi Unit 2 and create a user waypoint in the 750, it will automatically transfer to the 650Xi Unit 2. In your case, most likely, the user waypoint is created on a unit and in the other aircraft you are trying to open it form another unit which not having the TDS GTNXi Pro or the Pro Upgrade; just the base TDS GTNXi. The quickest solution is to utilize crossfill. If not, we have an unofficial guide to handling user waypoints, but please note, messing with the system flash files will not provide any tech support from TDS. If you are able to determine which unit you have used, you can copy the udb_wpt_v3.dat to the other units: "C:\ProgramData\Garmin\Trainers\Navigator_XI_?\winfs_mount\emmc0" Where the "?" is the unit number, according to the lookup list above. Hopefully this should clear things up. We thank you for your question, the TDS GTNXi Pro works exactly as the real world unit!

Just the 750. I was using the Airbus helicopter and was in the right seat. It is equipped with two 750's so I was using the right one, I didn't even set up the left one. How do I know if I have the Pro Upgrade? I thought it was all the same. I have no idea what flash files are so I wouldn't even attempt to mess with something like that. Um, ok, copy the .dat file to the other units? I'm not sure how to do this but I'll take a look at the files in that folder before I do anything. And finally, what is crossfill? I'll be away from the PC for a little while today but I do very much appreciate your help. Jack Jack Sawyer
December 4, 2025Dec 4 Commercial Member Hello Jack, This makes total sense, you have been creating user waypoints in the GTN750Xi Unit 2 and not the GTN 750XI Unit 1. Since you do not have the Pro Upgrade\Crossfill, you would not see the waypoints in the GTN750Xi Unit 1. Crossfill allows for the ability of the two GTN Xi units to talk to each other, exchanging not only the flight plan data, but settings, user waypoints, etc. This is exactly what you have been asking for and the TDS GTNXi Pro features crossfill to the aviation level of detail. Please find this link with information on crosfill: https://tdssim.com/ProUpgrade/crossfill It seems that you do now own the Pro Upgrade. We describe all that it offers here: https://tdssim.com/ProUpgrade/main You can confirm the status by looking in the main TDS GTNXi interface, where you will see Pro Upgrade: Not installed. Since you are not comfortable with copying .dat files/flash, we would recommend caution, at best. Yes, it would mean copying the .dat file from one folder to the other. Best regards.

Hello Jack, This upgrade is for the MSFS 2020 version as well, so you will receive all the TDS benefits of the Pro Upgrade in MSFS 2020 as well, such as crossfill. It is not a problem if you do not use MSFS 2024. Yes, it is a paid upgrade, you will find a Buy Now button at the bottom of this webpage: https://tdssim.com/ProUpgrade/main

I just bought it now but it's late, I will have to install it tomorrow. Question, will it delete all my user waypoints? Where in the manual can I find about how to use crossfill? Much appreciated.
