December 14, 2025Dec 14 The proximity of Lake Powell, the Marble Canyon then the Grand Canyon and the Monument Valley make this KPGA (Page Municipal airport, AZ) one of my favorite place for GA flights. New NOTAM's and construction have slightly change the airfield with new 16/34 runway and closure of 17/25. A great opportunity to update (and fixes for MSFS2024) my freeware MSFS2020/24 scenery. December 14, 2025Dec 14 KPGA also is my favorite airport to go to, to fly with my Flying Iron fleet of WW2 warbirds. The airport is very well done and the surrounding scenery is breathtaking. Flying though the canyons gives an addional touch to it. Thank you Vbazillio for your wonderfully designed airports located in spectacular areas of the united states.
December 14, 2025Dec 14 You’re ahead of the times, Vincent…🙂…Even the Wiki now shows KPGA with (15/33) Runway directions… Beautiful pictures of your handiwork…from this beautiful part of Arizona… BTW, I know it was a typo up there, (17/25) instead of (7/25). The window to edit quickly vanishes for most of us…🙂… I didn’t know that Runway is now officially closed. Thanks for sharing…!

Actually, the AIRAC is not up to date but NOTAM's for the renaming of 15/33 + closure of 7/25 are live. I've found only one real-world pic of the 34 marking. I don't know for the taxiway signs but I "imagine" all is in sync. Hopefully. At least, our MSFS with my scenery is 😉 Foreflight ground chart displays C taxiway and the 7/25 closed... ... The 15/33 has been renamed by NOTAM but not on the ground chart: 21 minutes ago, P_7878 said: I didn’t know that Runway is now officially closed. This small runway - compared to the 5950ft 15/33 - "saved my life once". It was during a hot and windy summer. I was driving a old C172 with my wife and daughter. Did make the wrong choice : tried to land runway 15 with strong crosswind (and certainly some tailwind). I'm very bad in choosing runways when pattern is empty 😉 Go around, high density altitude, windy... I remember the long - very long - path to gain altitude. Few seconds later, an old pilot (by the voice) announced landing 25. Once heard, it seemed to be so... obvious 😉 21 minutes ago, P_7878 said: BTW, I know it was a typo up there, (17/25) instead of (7/25). The window to edit quickly vanishes for most of us…🙂… Caramba! As I was looking on-line a bit, I found the CONSTRUCTION UPDATE directly on the KPGA Hangar Owner Information webpage, which clearly says (verbatim): 7-25 is now officially closed. Our Runway has been officially changed to 16-34 and our VASI lights have been changed to PAPI lights. Though, some of the applicable reference specifications (such as the Wiki and the Charts) are probably in the process of update. Cheers...! Edited December 14, 2025Dec 14 by P_7878
