January 7Jan 7 A Carbon Cub UL (ultralight). Rotax engine. First deliveries in 2025 https://cubcrafters.com/carboncub/ul In the video, he took it to 37,609' from San Luis Obispo airport. Pretty amazing. I dson't know what the record was for. Maybe altitude for ultralight? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5g3cTDqLP6k Noel The tires are worn. The shocks are shot. The steering is wobbly. But the engine still runs fine.
January 7Jan 7 Incredible video, thanks Noel. Rarely do I watch almost an entire video of this length. I did watch the entire flight portion. > FL37 in a Cub, pretty daring. This plane makes me wish I was younger and had a spare $600,000 or so. For now, I'll just sit back and enjoy the videos. Tom MAKA = Make America Kind Again

January 8Jan 8 Flying at 37,000' MSL is great in a pressurized, climate controlled aircraft, but I have no desire to be at that altitude without pressurization and a nicely heated cabin.
