February 22Feb 22 kind of unrelated but I really don't understand why there seems to be no option to SAVE the settings. Every time I make adjustments, I risk of no way to restore the settings if I accidently mess up. 9950X3D / 64GB / RTX5090 / Pimax Crystal Light / Win11
February 22Feb 22 Author totally agree. we had that feature even back in the FSX stone age. we could share and test other users settings, but no ... at least with the latest SU5 beta update2 VR settings are now persistent again. I guess, as a work around, you could save and reload your usercfg.opt file: C:\Users\<YourUsername>\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\usercfg.opt (store version) Edited February 22Feb 22 by turbomax AMD 7800X3D, Windows 11, Gigabyte X670 AORUS Elite AX Motherboard, 64GB DDR5 G.SKILL Trident Z5 NEO RGB (AMD Expo), RTX 4090, Samsung 980 PRO M.2 NVMe SSD 2 TB PCIe 4.0, Samsung 980 PRO M.2 NVMe SSD 1 TB PCIe 4.0, 4K resolution 50" TV @60Hz, VR: Pimax Crystal Light + HP Reverb G2 @ 90 Hz, Honeycomb Bravo Throttle Quadrant, be quiet 1000W PSU, Noctua NH-U12S chromax.black air cooler. 60-130 fps. no CPU overclocking. very nice.
February 24Feb 24 Yes with update 2 of SU5, the settings stay put and don't move. And for those not in the beta, the fps increase of beta over non beta is enormous. Foveated Rendering is really improved (my PCL does not have dynamic FR, only static FR). The jump is about 30% switching FR on and off. So 20 becomes 26, or 25 becomes 33 etc. I'm getting high 30's fps but that's with DLSS set to Quality and global rendering to Ultra and the resolution in Pimax play to 100%. I could turn those settings down and get over 50 fps and things would still look pretty good, but I prefer the better images. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Crystal Light VR.
