March 9Mar 9 BMA had DC3s from their early days as Derby Aviation, based at Burnaston, an old RAF field near Derby. They moved to Castle Donington, later renamed East Midlands, and became British Midland Airways in 1965. The first plastic model aeroplane I ever made in the 60s was of a BMA DC3 G-ANTD, which I kept for years until I went overseas with the RAF and my mum binned it :( Rob Jones.
