But the claim that it 'looks more realistic' is logically wrong to anyone with real world flight time. The distant horizon, distant mountains and cities, etc all generally look somewhat fuzzy and undefined in all sky conditions other than severe clear and very specific sunrise/sunset settings.

Bonus - I can actually read the POI labels now.  👍

But the biggest improvement is the G3000 readouts are crystal clear.  No more squinting at a distance.

So you see, it's not about realism but rather legibility.

BTW - I wouldn't use this tweak on a 4k OLED.  Best to leave well enough alone.

    I feel the blurry mush of terrain distant mountains even at high LOD and 4K more disconcerting than the overall sharpness.  The terrain resolution has clearly really been nerfed.
