Pulsar Fusion Fire up Their Fusion Plasma Exhaust!

Featured Replies

Fascinating company!

Potentially way better than Nuclear Electric.

Pulsar Just demonstrated that they can create the plasma, guide it with magnetic fields and confine it within the exhaust nozzle of an engine, the hardest part of the architecture.

Martin, if you ever run low on exclamation marks for the titles of your threads, I recommend this company:

And if you mention my name, they'll give you a discount.

OK, I didn't watch the entire video, but the scenes of the hangar facility with the advanced-looking craft lined up is computer generated fakery.  You'll note that the narrarator says the company is british, but then in the tall hangar there's a huge American flag draped on the wall, which was my first clue that this is fake.

I'm not saying that this plasma engine and company aren't real, but a lot of these video creators use a lot of "poetic license" in their videos to put it nicely, that is, when they're not outright fakes and frauds.

Be careful out there on the web nowadays.  There's a lot of fake stuff now, especially with AI getting better and better, and it's not always easy to distinguish between fake and real.  It's truly an Internet "Wild West".

It was supposed to be. 😁 Computer generated example of the final product. They weren't saying thats what they've got now. 😁

Pulsar have been around for a while, ive posted about them before. They build ion engines for a number of companies but the fusion plasma engine is their main objective. Its a legitimate company.

They demonstrated the test run to Bezos at the event mentioned.

Worth watching the entire video, its not that long.

It will be some time yet before an orbital test.
