May 16May 16 Author I use Firefox v115.34 in Win7 sp1. Is there a similar way to translate Russian into English? Thanks at all Andrea
May 17May 17 I'm sure Avsimrus can show its contents in English. If not, go to Google Translate from your browser, paste there the URL of Avsimrus, set origin language to Russian and then the language you want to translate into (English, Italian, whatever). That should do the trick Best regards,Luis Hernández Main rig: self built, AMD Ryzen 7 5700X3D (with SMT off and CO -50 mV), 2x16 GB DDR4-3200 RAM, Nvidia RTX 5060Ti 16GB, 256 GB M.2 SSD (OS+apps) + 2x1 TB SATA III SSD (sims) + 1 TB 7200 rpm HDD (storage), ID-Cooling SE-224-XTS air cooler, Viewsonic VX2458-MHD 1920x1080@120-144 Hz (G-sync compatible), Windows 11. May 17May 17 You can get 'Translate' extensions for most browsers, that will translate on the fly. Robin "Onward & Upward" ... To the Stars, & Beyond...
May 17May 17 Robin,You seem to never have had problems with the translation into English for the basic Avsimsu site itself but is everything also translated normally when clicking around within the same site ? E.g. forums, etc. ?Hans
May 17May 17 I have not really followed the forums, but a quick look now, about 50% English, the rest in Russian.Having said that, a lot of the downloads have the docs & readme's in Russian, and it's impossible to translate. But the PDF's are no problem at all. I convert them to Word, then copy into an on-line translator, Windows 11 has a 'Snipping Tool' that can extract text from a picture or PDF. After the translation, I paste back into the Word doc, then save it as a PDF.It's almost quicker to do than explaining the process. Robin "Onward & Upward" ... To the Stars, & Beyond...
May 21May 21 Thanks Robin, it's the same now with my tanslations to English. Moreover, if one has years of FS experience, then the accompanying "Read Me's" etc. in (partial) Russian, are no problem.I still believe that the sudden and unexpected loss of translation was somehow caused by an automatic Windows update.Hans
May 21May 21 Author Thanks everyone, now when the page appears in Russian, I simply click on the "English version" option at the top right and I see the translated text. All automatically, very convenient. However, I noticed that the number of downloadable files has become smaller than the English version when it was available without translation. Is it possible, or am I wrong? For example, the number of scenarios available seems smaller to me.
