Ever since sometime around the release of MSFS 2024 SU5, I've been having issues with clips getting cut off before they're finished.  I'd guestimate this happens on about 1 of every three audio clips played.  I wish I could say for certain that it coincides with SU5 release, but I can't be sure so it may be completely unrelated.

I'm running the paid version v1.2.4, and have the software configured for controller type configured by com frequency set on whichever radio is configured for transmit.

When this happens, does anything appear in the control panel? A few things to check.

• Do you have a joystick button assigned to Momentary Mute where the button is possibly noisy and making contact when you did not press it.

• Do you have the option enabled to only play chatter when the radios are powered? Possibly, the aircraft is erroneously reporting a power loss

Send me the most recent log file when it happens again.

Getting those pausing messages will definitely cause the clip to mute. I wonder what is causing that.

All of the planes I fly regularly use the TDS GTNxi GPS units and I wonder if there isn't some interaction there between the sim and the TDS units that is causing these pauses. I say this because I just purchased the new FSReborn Phenom 300E which use Working Title's Garmin 3000 and had absolutely no problems with chatter being cut off on my first flight in it.

Of course, I've always used the TDS units, and they did work until recently, so I don't know.

Would love to find the issue causing the pause indications as well (and I say "indications", because I see no discernable pause in the sim itself), but I'm not sure how I would even begin to troubleshoot.

BTW, I did try unchecking the option to only play chatter when com1/com2 are powered on, and it made no difference.

Pls note that I'm not seeing ANY issues with the TDS units themselves or in the sim. They perform flawlessly, as they pretty much always have since I first purchased. That said, here is the requested information.

It could be that those TDS units are somehow pausing the sim but possibly only for a very brief period of time. Do those units have a separate UI that might be taking window focus briefly?

As I said, it would be pretty easy to make pausing chatter on sim pause an option if you can't get this fixed any other way.

The correct exclusions, as Processes are:

My apologies, as I assumed you were asking for exclusions specific to TDS. I also exclude Flightsimulator2024.exe (I'm only running 2024). I did NOT have "gtn_simulator.exe" excluded so I have added that and thanks for pointing it out. Unfortunately, there is no change in the behavior of clips being truncated, and the logs continue to show stopping due to simulator pauses even though I see NO noticeable pauses or stutters in the sim, and NO performance issues.

I've also tested in the same plane, with and without the GTNxi gauges, and the problem does, indeed, only occur with the GTN's in the panel. I used Black Square's Baron with the default KX155s, and the logs are clean and I hear no truncations occur. With the GTN 750 and 650 in the panel, I have truncation and pauses indicated in the FS ATC Chatter log files.

Pls also note, again, that this is recent behavior. A few weeks ago, same plane, same combinations and there were no issues.

I do appreciate the help that has been offered from both of you. It IS appreciated, but I'm pretty much out of info I can provide at this point.
