June 25Jun 25 Working just fine. Good to have the missing Flyby camera in MSFS 2024. Checking out AI aircraft traffic is no very easy both from the map and the new TrafficBoard. Edited June 25Jun 25 by Cap737Delta

Enjoy the update and happy flybys and aircraft spotting! ✈️Hello, I'm wondering about something. I just started playing with Tower Views and while it's working as it should I'm puzzled why when I place a tower view on the map it's not being saved between sessions. In other words, I have to re-set them up each time up. Am I missing something? June 25Jun 25 You need to save the Tower/Spotter location. Then on next session when Tower/Spotter camera is active you click on a saved Tower/Spotter marker on the map.You can save a Tower/Spotter camera location at any location in the world. Edited June 25Jun 25 by Cap737Delta

I type in a name, and click the SAVE button. So where/why does it need saved again, or thru some other method? Thanks Noel System: 9900X3D Noctua NH-D15 G2, MSI Pro 650-P WiFi, G.SKILL 64GB (2 x 32GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR5 6000, WD NVMe 2Tb x 1, Sabrent NVMe 2Tb x 1, RTX 4090 FE, Corsair RM1000W PSU, Win11 Home, LG Ultra Curved Gsync Ultimate 3440x1440, Phanteks Enthoo Pro Case, TCA Boeing Edition Yoke & TQ, Cessna Trim Wheel, RTSS Framerate Limiter w/ Front Edge Sync. June 25Jun 25 You didn't mention that you had actually saved it. If it was saved, as you now say, it should appear as a Tower/Spotter camera marker on the map. Also remember (as described in the documentation) that the Tower/Spotter camera mode must be active (green) before you can click and load a saved Tower/Spotter camera marker. The same applies to World camera markers. You can also verify that the camera was saved by checking the camera.txt file in your Spotty26 installation directory. If the entry is present there, the camera has been saved correctly. Edited June 25Jun 25 by Cap737Delta
June 25Jun 25 Thanks, yep have saved every one, and they do not appear on the map as a retained marker. I saved a tower location at KBJC. If I activate the tower button, then hit the CAM button I don't see a retained marker there on the map. I'll have a look at camera.txt thanks for the help. June 25Jun 25 Just now, Cap737Delta said:Did you click Spotties that enables saved camera markers to be seen on the map?Nope, that must be the issue. I would have imagined the save routine would be enough but alas...it apparently wasn't. Cheers and ThanksI'm curious about another thing: I notice if I'm a ways from the tower view I just created and saved it jumps to Flyby. How far is that distance do you know? June 25Jun 25 13 minutes ago, Cap737Delta said:Can you clarify what you mean here?Let's say I create a tower view at airport X. Just after takeoff I hit the TOWER button, then the CAM button, which takes me to the tower view created and saved, and I can see my plane after takeoff. I then turn off CAM and am back in the VC. 20 miles away, I hit TOWER button again, and CAM button. It briefly goes to that tower location, but very quickly instead of staying in that TOWER button view the app changes to Flyby view. Just was wondering how far one has to be from that tower before it auto changes to Flyby. I hope this dev sells a lot of copies it deserves to for sure. June 25Jun 25 Just wondering, are you using Spotty26 v1.5.1?Why click Tower every time you go back to Cam, no need to do that. Once in Tower mode it stays in Tower mode when Cam is ON.If you are using FlybyO it will override any other camera mode after some seconds.
Monday at 06:55 PM3 days Hi, I just wanted to say a massive thank you for implementing this auto view function. I can't tell you how long I have been waiting for this. I wasted so much money on applications that I thought would provide this function but they did not. I even stopped playing MSFS for about a year because the ai traffic system was not good and I could not watch planes like I can now. I'm still using P3D because they have a program that does that but not in MSFS. So now I guess I can finally uninstall P3D and move forward with MSFS 2024. Again, a huge thank you because you have restored my faith in the game.
