One of the places I used to work is the run-up hole at KATL. We'd tow planes there to run up the engines and do checks. All kinds of weather, cold rain, hot humid days, night, you name it. It was noisy and interesting.

I like it but with the high humidity one needs to drink a lot of water.

I grew up in Miami, but a summer in ATL was soooo uncomfortable for me.

Beautiful town/metro area, tho!

I used to be based in ATL, and I still remember the first time I noticed clouds outclimbing us in the mid FL200 during these hot summer days in the ATL area, quite a view :)

Watching MD-88’s take off and bank 90 degrees in a lightning storm was amazing.
