Good morning. Since installing xplane 12, i've been trying to utilize the lnav feature in the stock 737. I've followed the same setup that i use in msf2024 but clearly the two systems are different, since I am unsuccessful at actually getting the 737 to follow the plan. So could one of you arm chair captains suggest a better and more straightforward method?

Here is what i do:

1. set departure and arrival airports in HSI

2. pick the desired approach to the arrival airport

3. activate the route and clear any inconsistencies on the legs page

So on beginning the flight, after gear up and speed and heading established, i engage the lnav. Although the lnav indicator lights up, it never finds or follows the correct path even in if within 10 or so degrees.

All suggestions welcome.

you never mention hitting autopilot. I assume you are arming it along with the Lnav arming.....

Default 737 is kinda old mess and LR seems not bother to update it anyway as Zibo is effectively constantly updating whit their own version anyway.

I would suggest just skip the default 737 and go download zibo or Lvup version and start from there.

This is how I setup my flights. As far as the autoflight via MCP we would need more info, like was cmd ever pressed? I'd also dump the default aircraft for the zibo mod 738.

If you jump to 16:40 into the video you'll see a takeoff, LNAV and VNAV on the MCP are already selected/armed and the indicator lights are illuminated, I confirm at 400 feet by pointing toward the MCP. Then at 17:05 into the video I select CMD A and allow the autopilot to take over control.
