Radio for Music - Mods, Addons?

Featured Replies

Looking for some insight - anyone here using or have used any of the radio mods/addons that let you tune AM/FM/Internet radio stations on the COM freq in sim?

The Garmin has the greyed out music button which I assume would normally play music from an SD card or something, but I've seen some mods like: https://flightsim.to/addon/110082/am-radio-streamer Where you can tune a radio station and have it play off the ADF freq in this case.

I've been using a Youtube playlist in a separate window but I wanted to see if anyone had any recommendations. An in-sim music option would be nice. I don't like to use Sim rate or skips in the Helicopter missions so having a little background music for the cruising portions of the flights would be nice.

Works for me in 2024 I only use the radio part. I don't know or use the other things it does.

Yeah you can listen to AM radio stations on the ADF in real life because that’s basically all they are.

Pretty handy too to listen to sports instead of pestering ATC for updates.

Most people these days just have Bluetooth in their headsets and music on their phones, so they do it that way.

There is actually a new app just for this kind of thing I saw last week. I was interested but then other things popped up and I forgot about it. Now I cannot remember the name....let me see if I can find it.

EIDT: Found it...it does music but you can also build and assign custom sounds too. Looks interesting.
