Has anyone tried this?

I tried it, and got the "graphics card has stopped working" error when the game was loading (before the main menu screen).

Uninstalling the app fixed that issue.

Nice idea, but very buggy (read the comments above). I won't even dare test it at this stage.

Haha at least some people were able to load into the sim. I couldn't even get to the main menu.

No crashing, but I couldn't get it to display. Though that might be because I'm on SU7 Beta, the dev is only testing on SU6.

Plus there's a huge performance hit according to the comments, probably because it's rendering the sim twice.

Which is exacltly the reason why aircraft add on developers so far have refrained from implementing taxi-cameras in their aircraft. Except for Aerosoft, but they cheat by not actually rendering what is in the sim.

So I tried this with the INIA380. Yes, there is a performance penalty. But it is manegable if you get something to help you taxi easier.

I have yet to find the right exposure setting, because it is a little difficult to see. But overall as a proof of concept I like it.

ASOBO really needs to work on some rendering pipeline to make this possible without killing performance.

And from the comments it is not compatible with Reshade.

Yeah, they’re just using the built in synthetic vision camera.

The default Elegy Optica also has that
