January 11, 200818 yr There is some integration between the Dreamliner's flight control systems and its in-flight entertainment systems.Apparrently the FAA has expressed concern that someone using the in-flight entertainment systems with a PC might be able to hack into the flight control systems and has told Boeing to make some changes. January 12, 200818 yr I find it hard to believe that there would be a connection between these two things. There should be no absolutely no connection.
January 12, 200818 yr I think they would be worried about this 20 years ago with airbuses. Chris Miller
January 12, 200818 yr >I find it hard to believe that there would be a connection>between these two things. There should be no absolutely no>connection. It's really not that far fetched. The entertainment systems these days, include a flight tracking map, that includes the current altitude, and speed of the aircraft. I assume this data, is being read from the flight computers. If someone was able to hack into the entertainment system, they may be able to access the flight computers through that connection. Thanks Tom My Youtube Videos! http://www.youtube.com/user/tf51d
