September 22, 200322 yr Commercial Member Hi Damian:sounds to my like Photo Scenery Maker is using resample.exe v2, which is the one that came with the FS2002 Terrain SDK and has the "black-border bug". The problem appears if the LOD13 areas along the borders of your image are not completely covered by your satellite image. The two options to avoid this is to either use resample v1 (FS2000 Terrain SDK) or to clip the edges of your image so that it extends only as far as the nearest inner LOD13 grid line. For the latter you can use Rhumbaflappy's TDFCalc2004 package of utilities. It's nice to finally have something show up in FS, isn't it?Cheers, Holger
September 22, 200322 yr Hello Holger,This is not necessarily a bug, or even an "undocumented feature", as Microsoft would call it. In fact, it is clearly documented and seems to be an attempt to provide greater precision in the determination of dimensions of the destination image. This requires setting the "UseSourceDimensions" switch to 0, and speifying the extents in the inf file. But, it does seem somewhat complicated, and most of us seem to use the first version of the Resample program.Best regards.Luis Hot, humid Caribbean paradise!
September 22, 200322 yr Hi Damien,You can set the extents of the bitmap that you want to use (i.e., cut out the black parts) under the 'Calibration©' menu. This along with PSM's excelent 2-point calibration will get things "straightend-out" quickly.
